Education and Training

  • 1. Where did your doctor attend medical school?
    After earning his Bachelor of Science degree with honors at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Law attended Emory University, graduating magna cum laude, second in his class of over 100 physicians.

  • 2. Was it a top tier medical school?
    Yes. Emory University is one of the foremost private facilities for medical education in the Southeast.

  • 3. Did your plastic surgeon receive training from a prominent medical university?
    Dr. Law elected to pursue a rigorous, 10 year training program that includes general surgery residency at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC). USC and UCLA are considered two of the most prominent and elite medical universities in the country.

  • 4. How many years of formal surgical training did they receive?
    The minimum requirement for board-certified plastic surgeons is five years of surgical training. Dr. Law's ten years of training following medical school amount to twice that of some plastic surgeons.

Certifications and Memberships

  • 1. Is your doctor a member of Alpha Omega Alpha?

    The national medical honors society selects a small percentage of physicians each year based on academic achievement, leadership and ethics. Dr. Law was selected as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha.

  • 2. Is your doctor Board Certified?
    Dr. Law is certified with The American Board of Plastic Surgery. It is the only board recognized by the Advisory Board for Medical Specialties for plastic surgeons. Dr. Law is also a member of ASAPS, the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Society.

  • 1. Does your plastic surgeon have a number of quality photographs of the procedure you are considering from three different perspectives and are all of the photos of work performed by your surgeon?

  • 3. Do all photos have consistent lighting, cropping, and position?

  • 4. Does your surgeon have previous surgical patients you can speak to?

Surgical Facility

  • 1. Is surgery performed in an accredited facility?
    The Plastic Surgery Center is dually accredited by The Joint Commission and AAAASF.

  • 2. How is my privacy protected on the day of surgery?
    At The Plastic Surgery Center, a private, first floor entrance and exit to both the office and surgery center eliminate the possibility of being in a public lobby or elevator after your surgical procedure.

  • 3. Does a board certified anesthesiologist administer anesthesia care during surgery? Does the anesthesiologist remain at the bedside of the patient for the duration of surgery?
    Yes

  • 4. What other medical professionals are part of the surgical team?
    In addition to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, your surgical team includes an ACLS certified Registered Nurse, a Certified Surgical Technologist, and a Certified Sterile Processing Technician.

  • 5. At what local hospitals does your doctor have privileges to practice?
