Out of Town Patients
Take a virtual tour of our office.
Many patients travel from out of town to have cosmetic surgery with Dr. Law. Some patients drive several hours, while others travel by plane from other states or countries. Our practice sees patients from all over the world. Our pre-operative and post-operative support team is accustomed to working with out of town patients.
Dr. Law performs surgery in our new Joint Commission accredited, state of the art free standing O.R. All surgeries are performed alongside a board-certified MD anesthesiologist who remain at the bedside of the patient during surgery.
Joint Commission accreditation is truly a remarkable accomplishment. The Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations is a national organization that accredits hospitals and surgery centers. We are the only office based plastic surgery center in North Carolina that dually holds Joint Commission accreditation and AAAASF certification.
The single story facility includes a private first floor entrance and a private waiting area for families to provide privacy for our discerning clientele. Our mission is to provide each client with individualized care, specifically tailored to personal needs and goals, and to provide this in an environment which is peaceful, relaxing and restorative.
If you fly into Raleigh, the recommended airport is RDU. We are conveniently located within 10 miles of the airport so transportation to the office is quick and easy.
SCHEDULING SURGERY FOR OUT OF TOWN PATIENTS
Dr. Law requires a consultation with all patients before performing their surgery. But if you have a specific time frame in mind please contact our office and one of our coordinators can tentatively place you on the surgery schedule.
If you are from out of town and unable to travel ahead of time for an in person consultation we can arrange a telephone consultation with Dr. Law. If you decide to schedule surgery we will want to see you the day before surgery so that Dr. Law can examine you in person and confirm the surgical plan.
If you are unable to meet with Dr. Law prior to scheduling your procedure, and only proceed with a phone consultation, please keep in mind that there may be minor changes to your surgical plan based on in-person physical examination when you meet with him at The Plastic Surgery Center the day before your procedure.
Out-of-state patients will typically stay in Raleigh anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the type of cosmetic surgery. We try to minimize your travel expenses by allowing our patients to return home in sometimes as few as two days after surgery with follow up appointments via telephone.
Our pre-operative and post-operative support team is accustomed to working with out of town patients and can discuss your needs and help you make necessary arrangements. We are happy to help with hotel accommodations, as well as your other needs including post op nursing services and transportation. We have partnered with hotels that understand the special needs of our patients and have the necessary amenities to make your stay here enjoyable for example, some can assist with grocery shopping and are equipped with full kitchens.
SCHEDULING A CONSULTATION
If you are traveling from out of town for surgery, rest assured that our practice understands the many details which must be taken care of to make the experience pleasant and convenient.
The consultation process usually starts with an email or phone call to our office. You may also fill out the request form below.
A phone consult with one of our patient coordinators will then be scheduled. During that phone call one of our coordinators can discuss typical questions such as recovery time, cost, general health history information and any other questions you may have at that time. Once intakes and photos are received then our coordinators can discuss getting you scheduled for a phone consultation with Dr. Law.
During a phone consultation Dr. Law can usually ascertain what a patient’s desired aesthetic outcome is. However the plan is obviously only tentative until he sees you in person, which he will want to do a day or two before the scheduled surgery.
When you return home, your post op care will continue via ongoing telephone calls and or emails with our medical staff.
